Live Containerized Evergreen Trees
State of Florida
official living Christmas tree
Each year the Florida Christmas Tree Association selects a Christmas Tree Farm to provide Christmas trees to Florida's Governor, Commissioner of Agriculture, and the Division of Marketing at the State Capitol. We enjoyed the honor of being chosen in 2007. Our potted 'Robin Blue' Red Cedars had an impressive reception.
After the holiday season, one of those trees was planted on the Capitol grounds as the State Living Christmas Tree. A recognition plaque was installed next to the tree during the planting ceremony which reads:
This 'Robin Blue' Southern Red Cedar was donated by Drs. Sue Kossuth and R. Hilton Biggs from BK Cedars Farm in Alachua County on behalf of the Florida Christmas Tree Association.
This tree was presented to Agriculture Commissioner Charles H. Bronson as the official "State of Florida Holiday Tree" on December 4, 2007.
Our tree has since overtaken it's lovely plaque and is still growing treemendously.
